Is the current education system spoiling us or are we inheriting the right values?

Is the current education system spoiling us or are we inheriting the right values?

You ask any student of a college how his life is , and the only response you will get out of him is that "There is no life left, the day is spent in the college and whatever is left in classes". Well this is not new to any one here . Nobody has time to meet everyone . And this is the worst part of it ! When the college begins no one has time and when there are holidays for a few days at that time we are all reminded that there was someone in my life when i was in school, and that is what the current education system is doing to us !Students have to just tear their hairs apart because they know that this is the only was from which they would get a recognition or they would have to do something extraordinary out of the billions living in the country which they are not likely to accomplish !
To start off i must just say that the students of today's generation are burdened by 2 main things
1) The pressure from the family, society
2)Self respect and dignity if they fail to live to the above

As Aamir khan has rightly said in his movie that the world today has just become a place where parents want their students to score more than 95 percent . Anything below that is just equivalent to failure. Well the only thing i can say to them is that not everyone is born the same ! Otherwise there would have been so many scholars like Einsteins and Teslas . All they want is their students to study and get excellent marks . The pressure on the kids is too much to take on their young shoulders ! Yes, they will have to take the responsibilites one day or the other but every thing has its own time and the parents should realise that .The student first has to think what his friends and teachers would think of him if he doesnt score good marks . Will his friends talk to him? Or mock him? or would the teacher stop paying attention to him because he has got less marks ? would he be branded as a complete loser?.There are a few incidents like that which i want to know ..This is not related completely to the topic but somewhat relevant
There was this guy who was not good in his studies but had a lot of many girls as his friends. There would be tests every sunday and after every week the test papers would be distributed . The girls used to talk to him throughout the week but when the papers would be distributed, the girls would always talk to the person who got the most marks ! They were in awe of him and often respected him more than him even if this guy who got less marks would be there for them in their time of troubles .
I know that this is simply a different story from the topic but the one thing that you could learn from this story is that success in studies puts you into instant "STARDOM".Like they say reality shows put you into instant stardom, this is equivalent!!
The person who stands first in the class is always respected by each and every member of the class, everyone wants to make friends with him.All the teachers know him well , he gets instant recognition. If earlier he was a nobody to everyone,he's everything for them now .
But what about the person who failed?Nobody cares for them..Its just like the country, where rich and famous people are loved by everyone and the poor are just left as they are . The person who fails is not given any help from his family and not from his teachers. He is just branded . How do you think that student would come out of such a state of trauma ?
Well if he has actually not studied or was involved in something else than that is a different case but the pattern of our studies asks the students to take such drastic steps .!

Why do people who study day and night and prepare for the IIT's and the IIM's commit suicide when they actually get good marks and are selected ?
The answer is simple , they are unable to cope up with this extremely mind taxing schedule that doesnt even allow them to sleep,to eat . The mind goes berserk .!On top of that they know the same things that they have to do well, they have to get good marks ,otherwise they are no where

Why have nt we seen a lot of creative people coming up as compared to people who earn lots and lots of money after studying so much ! Its the lure of money that the students of today's life wants.!But the one thing that they do not know is that this time gone now is never going to come back, and whatever they would have say after 10-20 years of studying is just materialistic things ! MONEY!! Money can buy you everything but not your childhood or teens !
But in a country like ours where if there is an opportunity there would be 100's clinging on to it education is of prime importance ,but the youth of the country is being pressurised into doing things that they are not supposed to do !

Well on the other hand other countries in the world do not have such literacy rates as that of India. They dont have such a taxing schedule on the students .Rather they focus on the creative aspects of a students mind and train them according to that . Why do u thing Hollywood has so many creative scrips that come out every 2 months whereas in Bollywood one good script comes out every 1 year?
Its because of their thinking which is developed from a very early and age whereas we give more importance to the Pen rather than the brain !!
Why does a small country like australia play the double the number of sports as compared to India and excel in it ?
In India there is talent no doubt but every one knows there is no scope except if you study, there are no options here
Either you study or you become a nobody!!

Well after writing all this all i have to say that i m also a student and i am also doing this from the past so many years .But as the Indians have learnt to be ruled over by so many powers. The new generation of the students are doing the same by getting governed by the power of STUDIES
The burden of which cannot be handled now . if we study and earn well we are on the good side and if we dont God knows what consequences await us !

Hot Topic : Will India win the t-20 world cup?

Right from the time that Shreesanth held on the catch that clinched India the 20-20 world cup in South Africa, the whole cricket team is bathing in the adulation of the home crowds...the captain being crowned words such as cool, composed, astute, master tactitian and what not . The nation which had given up all hope of India winning the inaugaral title in 2007 even before the action started had now begin to sing praises of all the people who were in the team ..Even me ..myself ..after having seen the team on paper ..i was surprised they would even beat the minnows ..i had myself declared that let us see us Indians getting hit out of the park ..When Matthew hayden will just stand and deliver . you guys just see and watch .....After the first 2 matches i was certain that even if the other teams have not done well,my trumpcard Matthew hayden would definately come up with the goods in the semi finals match against India. The Indian team on the other hand had just shown some tremendous performances , call that luck or fluke or whatever, they were performing , Yuvraj was impeccable , he was smashing soccer balls out of the stadium with his huge huge bat of his ,and suddenly the whole nation became aware that India would definitely prove a dark horse in the race. It definitely did and they won the world cup ..Something that they havent done since Kapil Dev's champions in 1983.!!!
Everyone was overjoyed and happy.Money was distributed all over just as the prasad is distributed in the temples. People became heroes overnight .Harbhajan's car fantasy became real after getting the much money..No doubt he lost that much of money in 'SLAPGATE' but everyone was happy!!..Someone got marriage proposals....some got more money to be accumulated and so on!
Now after 2 years the same event is going to take place ..this time in England.
The Indian team looks strong on paper ,specially with the likes of Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj , Captain Courageous himself, Pathan Brothers(Remember Yusuf.....who smashed mendis out of the park in the tied IPL game ? .... or Irfan ...India's budding star ...who was wasted? )
hmm
well the squad has depth ,let me tell you that
the IPL has brought a few stars in this lineup.
Yusuf Pathan - You have seen him hit big time( i mean ...he got his first game in the final against pakistan..thats big time) ..to be serious ...he has been on a roll ever since the inception of the IPL and one of the pawns that India have to use well in order to yield the results they need .

Ravinder Jadeja- A very young cricketer with a good cricketing mind and a perfect all rounder for the short form of the game(i mean tee-20 not 20-20....dunno which ones shorter...in spelling...).can hit the big ones and can stop the flow of runs..can he make the difference?

RP Singh - you cannot keep this guy out for long .. a very very good swing bowler(remember shaun pollock's wicket that he took)...can exploit the conditions in England pretty well..

Yuvraj - He has to fire.he 's been steady with the ball in the IPL grabbing 2 hat tricks..but his run with the bat has nowhere been his best .. If India have to win they definitely want him to fire on all grounds...i mean ..batting ..bowling and fielding ...

Gautam Gambhir - Well he was India's hero in the last campaign scoring the most number of runs in the tournament.had an okay IPL....
If he gets going ..India will always get a steady score ..!!

i must say that if they fire ...then i think india do stand a very very good chance to win the WC...
bear in mind all the other teams are not mere spectators..and expect some fireworks ..
look out for my feedback after the tournament !
till then
cheers

Traumatising India

I was in deep sleep and that is when my brother in mumbai messaged me asking me whether i was watching the news ...!! I asked him what it was ..He said the news people were saying that some firing had taken place !! At that time i did not realise this firing would change the face of India completely !
Well all has been said in the news and i just want to put my perspective of this in what i am writing right now !

I really dont know how this happened ,but it has just shook me . These terrorists killed us mercilessly , as if they were playing some kind of computer game !! I could barely watch those blood stained areas and people lying around in the puddle of blood ! What was the Indian Intelligence doing even after recieving information? Did it think that it was just going to be nothing at all ? This has shook the very foundations of the country !
Top cops giving it all for the country so that all the people live peacefully ! All the martyrs death will just be useless if we do not learn from what has just happened !
I mean just look at what happened .Terrorists coming to the country without even being noticed carrying kilos and kilos of RDX and shooting people as such just for fun !! Well this does not make sense to me ! We are all Indians after all and the attitude such as recovering from this has to be taken out ! I am of the opinion that the Indians are used to this laid back and forgiving attitude !!
Why aren t strict laws taken ?
Why is the terrorist that is caught even tried? why can t we just hang him and finish it off ! What proof do we have that whatever he is saying now is the truth ? Nothing right ?
Such people should be killed then and there to show solidarity ! I know many people will not find it right or as we say the Human Rights might come into force and take out a rally or something !!! well all i can say is what happened at Kandahar should not happen again ! these terrorists should be killed before someone can come and save them !
Now the caught terrorist is saying that he did it in the name of religion and all !
Does religion teach us this ? I am shocked at how much one can influence a person !! No God in any religion would say to kill a human whatever caste, creed or race he belongs too .
And about the politics !! my my ...i got no words to say
there was this saying that really touched me .. It said
Jo Boat leke aaye the une maar giraya
ab jo vote lene aaenge unka kya?
Now the blame game starts again ! Why can t the politicians join hands in this issue atleast .So many people dead , still no lesson learnt ? Is it just for the votes ?
there was another one liner that read
' If in the Taj there was all the politicians ...we wouldnt even care '
I laughed at it !!! and thats true , i really woudnt have cared !!

People are left with permanent scars , they would never have thought that such a thing happpened to them !!
the questions is not why it happened to them ..but the question is how?
I hope that the government learns from this because India is not a land only of the rich to whom security is provided but to people who make these rich people who they are !
A common man's security should always be first priority !
I know that this is not going to be easy but an improvement will surely mean near success ! Because India has never seen improvement in these matters !! Its only suppressed always.
My SALUTE TO ALL THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES
MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE

M mourning !! but m proud to be an Indian !!!

The English Premier League this season

The English Premier League kicked off this August with a lot of expectations . Spurs had brought a huge number of players and that all of the expectations were on them to give everyone a big fight . On the other front the top four had also purchased much required armory of their own
Liverpool bringing in a couple of new faces in Robbie Keane ,Andrea Dossena and the Swiss right back Phillip Degan . Robbie Keane being the pick of the transfers valued at around 20 million pounds .
The Champions brought in Dimitar Berbatov from Spurs landing the bulgarian at his dream club, the club also brought the likes of Manucho and a few other players !
Chelsea got the best bargain trasfer when Portuguese Deco was trasferred at a low cost price of 9 million pounds ..Roman knows how to get his players . I mean for such a quality player of Deco s calibre one would expect a large sum . The also brought the Jose Bosingwa who playes for Portugal . Scolari brought in in place of grant also changed the style of play chelsea played for the past couple of seasons .There would surely be some samba magic coming with Scolari adapting to the Brazillian style of play that won them the world cup in 2002.
Arsenal who have got one of the best youth systems of the world brought in French wonderkid Samir Nasri from French side Marseille !
But by far the biggest story of the new season was the takeover of Manchester City by a rich Arab ! That paved the way for Robinho s trasfer for a record 32 million pounds..
Robinho who was the transfer target for chelsea joined the blue side of Manchester , and with the City aiming to be one of the biggest clubs in the country the move of Robinho had come at the right time !

The season started on the high for all the big four clubs except for Manchester United who drew with Newcastle on day 1 . The rest of the teams strolled throught their fixtures !
Liverpool had lady luck with them , not for a one or two times but far from many times !
They showed their fighting character that that won them the champions league title in 2005 when they had defeated AC milan on penalties in Istanbul . The came behind numerous number of times to beat their opposition!
On the other hand Manchester United had problems drawing again against Everton and losing out the LIVERPOOL in a great match which saw United taking the lead but lost out in the end !
Liverpool found themselves top of the league but had Chelsea for company who strolled through wins on all fronts !
Arsenal were a bit dissappointing losing out a lot of games in the start !
but now they have got their season back on track with a victory over United !
Liverpool also beat Chelsea 1-0 at the bridge !
but lost out to resurgent Tottenham Hotspur .!!
hull city have been the surprise package of the season and are now 6th in the league .. They have played fantastic football and have gained inspiration from Brazillian Geovanni !

Well its jst the start of the league right now but i am willing to put my money on few of the teams here in the league .!
For starters i ll put my money on Chelsea because i think they will not lost points . They are strong team in all the departments and their bench strength is the best of all the clubs .
Liverpool are unexpectable . One day they play flawless football while on the other any team can beat them with ease !

Manchester United have a lot of work to do and i think catchin up with chelsea would be a very difficult job and as far are Arsenal are concerned i think they still have a couple of seasons more before they can mount a reasonable challenge for the championship !
Well we will see how this works out now and i ll update this post as soon as the season gets over !
MY BET TO WIN THE TITLE ARE CHELSEA
AND THE TOP SCORER TO BE FERNANDO TORRES
!!!!

The Environment : Are we losing it!?

This is one of the topics that have always been debated about and i have very strong concerns about it . Therefore i would like to start this topic off by a poem written by myself

The Environment "Man"handled :
Along the valley lies this beautiful place .

.full of natural beauty and grace

birds twitter on the barks of the tree the sun shines cloud free

animals roaming about their land

God made this earth with his beautiful hands

but wait he made someone that was more powerful than them

someone that could use the tree from the bark to the stem

someone who could rule

someone who could make stone turn to fuel

oh !! what was happening here

the mother earth was disappointed and full of fear

all of her creations were near extinction

and people were getting notorious with distinction

man wanted everything his

so he decided to hurt nature like this

but as the saying goes ..what u sow so shall u reapin

a few years time every man would be in his eternal sleep ..
Well that is what is going to happen in a few years. ! Well its not only our country that is facing this problem of environmental pollution but i must stress on the point that as five fingers make a fist similarly all the countries making together and acting right now could make a tremendous difference in our lives , say after a few decades . Well we read in the newspapers daily that some or the other glacier has melted or some or the other sea has gone dry . Famines , Floods. Well what is happening here we think and this thought is only for a second because after that the thought would come when we experience it . Well most of the Nashikites have got the experience of feeling the crunch of environmental problems . The power cuts which occur not only here but different parts of the states are giving people a hard time . Well i must say there are lot of reasons behind this problem but the main problem that the country might be facing would be poverty . Well nothing can be done to eradicate it completely in a short span of time and as the saying goes ' Rome was not built in a day' , we should also give the governers more time . Well the main thing about poverty is that people do not know about the environment until they are educated , and persons living in poverty cannot think of education as he has to fulfill the 3 basic needs of his family . So all he can do is to make his children work so that they can make a little sum of money ! ! . On opposite to this i must surely like to mention the advanced countries in the world ,where there is litte povertry . I must say in such advanced countries , scientists conducting experiments for making their countries proud and trying to make a name for themselves have just completely destroyed the environment . With so much of knowledge , they are doing no good to the environment by performing scientific experiments on the environment !
Well , agreed that there is always a need for development as man is a thinking animal and thinking takes him to those regions which are unexplored ! Well even if thinks a little about the environment i think that would give us a few more decades to live !
I must also make the point about surviving in the world after a few decades . With oxygen masks and alternative methods to breath , it would be hard to imagine that there used to be something called as trees a few decades back . Imagine such absurd things are surely not out of question. There are lot of things that are left to be answered! Environmentalists are also out of ideas on how to curb this kind of usage of resources so mercillesly by man!
It is like if you want a house here and if there are a few trees here , there would be no harm to clear the tree and that person would be happy what a great house he has ! But one thing he doesnt know is that the number of trees he has cut is a step in is own coffin !
people want houses that have the shade of the trees the quiteness of the villages and no pollution for that matter !! There is nothing that is left here now ! Whatever is left is for this generation to survive ! Its a matter of thought that requires a lot of thinking and planning !
Optimism is not a bad thing, but thinking that everything would be all right in the coming decades is just going to prove fatal to us !!
The conclusion : Are we losing the plot ?
I say we have already lost it ! With no entrepreuners coming forward to invest in ideas of a green future , the future seems dark with no light ! ( i literally mean no light because there would be no electricity) . The tunnel is dark with no end, the only thing that can save us now is the timely use of all the resources and proper management !
because if this continues , we may not be able to continue in the coming decades ,

World Soccer in Comparison to India

You peep into any modern home and you will find teenage people watching soccer , wearing jerseys of their favourite stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lio Messi . Worshipping them as God , trying to play like them when they next kick the football . All these youngsters know that they have the ability to play the game and believe me some really have it , they would not like to play for the country. Ask any teenager or for that matter any football fan in India where he would want to play his soccer if he was given a chance, the answer would be prominent. He would surely say that he would love to go and play for clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool ,Arsenal and many more, but ask them about the players of their state teams and they will start laughing at you , asking you whether there actually is a domestic team of the state or for that matter asking you whether you yourself know the players there . You look like a country in Nigeria that has such talent and potential . We see loads of african players apply their trades in the big leagues in the world .They dont have that infrastructure, they dont have the amenities but still they practice and give it their best shot . In such countries these players become God for the younger generation, you look at Michael Essien , the Ghanian captian, who plays for a big club like Chelsea. He is one of the best players of the club. With a country such as Ghana whose size is not even comparable to the size of our country produces stars such as him, Why can't India do the same ?. Well this question has been asked so many times on television that now it has become a big issue , but yes , the question makes sense . In such a country like ours with so many young Indians watching the game of soccer why can't we produce a Leo Messi or a Ronaldo for the matter . I know that the game of cricket is like a religion to India but for such a huge country like ours is creating one wonderkid such a hard option .

You look at a nation like Australia, they were nowhere in the soccer world for the past decade , when the qualified for the soccer world cup in 2002 , the results were bad and then the federation decided that they would add even more funds to get quality players.. And yes they have suceeded, they reached the quarter finals of the 2006 world cup where the lost to Italy on penalties, is' nt that enough for motivation? . Well moreover they noticed that not any of the Australian clubs featured in the higher rounds of the AFC cup , which is equivalent to the UEFA champions league in Europe, and again they decided that the money should be put in in nurturing talent . and look the results have flown in with the local club such as Adelaide United reaching the finals, it is different story that they lost in the finals 3-0 to Gamba Osaka, but the kind of determination they showed in reaching the finals was just enthralling .
Now we have Australians in the top leagues in the world . Players such as Tim Cahill playing for Everton , Brett Emerton playing for Blackburn,Lucas Neill for West Ham and also players such as Mark Bresciano playing for a team such as Palermo . Well these players have made their mark for their club as well as country. This shows that if the right kind of approach and the right kind of attitude is shown there is nothing that the AIFF cannot achieve . Being a soccer fan myself suggesting measures for development of the game in India is an easy job , but for the implementation of a sport where the Indian supporters are themselves are supporting clubs of the other nations is a tuf job . Everyone in this country wants to become a cricketer,a doctor, an engineer , a politician for that matter , but soccer is untouched territory of the youth . There is not enough money say a lot of people ! but my view is that what would we do of money if the people are only not interested in playing this game for their country. And as far as money is concerned many footballers in India earn quite a sum of money , take for that matter Sunil Chettri , he earns around 35 lakhs a year , now that is quite a big sum of money and now he is attracting attention of clubs such as Leeds united who once had players such Rio Ferdinand, Nicky Barmby, Alan Smith, Mark Viduka !! Though they play in the lower leagues i think he is going to set a benchmark for the people of India to come and play the game of soccer .

I also specially want to mention the crowds of the country! Well no one is interested in watching a game of soccer in India apart from a few states of Kolkata and Goa . Well you see games on television and you really do not come to know whether it is a practice match going on ? . Such is the support ! Well if the supporters do come out in large number the crowds do influence a lot of results as we have seen in stadiums such as Anfield and Old Trafford .!!
People only look at profit while investing money and not at the creativity and the passion one can have in the game of soccer ! while people are investing millions and millions to the game of cricket and a sport such as formula one , i think Indian football still has a long long way to go !!!!
such a long way that i may not be in the world when we see the next leo messi or the next Ronaldo from this holy land of ours ! But the dream always remains of going to a packed stadium in India and watching a great game of soccer and believing that India will surely be the next big thing is soccer in the coming generations .
